Blue, gold and a bow

Hi everyone!

My backlog continues as this post features my nails from last month. I've been hanging onto the 3D blue bows for quite some time without an occasion to wear some blinged up nails. Well, the occasion never came, but I still wanted to wear them, so I paired the bow up with some gold and blue :) I chose OPI Can't find my Czechbook and Orly Bling to match the bow and also added a gold stud on my pinky to complete the look.

I'm off to prepare for my New Year's Eve party tonight now. Have a wonderful time with family and friends, and I'll catch you in 2015!

Mix & match cheetah print

Hi ladies!

OPI Do you have this color in Stockholm is a lovely saturated purple I just had to wear! I paired it with some OPI Need sunglasses? and Orly Bling for the well...bling holographic goodness I can't seem to get enough of!

Purple, with a sprinkling of gold & glitter

Hi everyone.

I pulled out my favourite colour to wear the other day and decided to mix in a little bit of gold and glitter into the final look.

OPI Do you lilac it was used as the main purple. Nicole by OPI Inner sparkle, Hello Kitty Golden girl and A-England Princess Tears were added to complement the shade :)

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel - B Girl & Street Flair

Hi everyone!

Here is the second post featuring two shades from Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel. I decided to go with a nail art look and created a skittle using Be girl and Street flair. I found the top coat dried quicker this time because I was more aware of needing to expose it to natural UV light :P My nails were totally dry under 10 minutes!

I found the two shades complemented quite nicely and was pretty happy with this look :)

A studded naked canvas

Hello ladies. I decided to combine some neutral and black shades to create a chic way to wear black. The neutral and off white shade is Orly Naked canvas and the black is OPI 4 in the morning. I decided to layer Essence Make it golden over Naked canvas as an accent on my middle finger. To match the gold accent, I also placed some studs on my pinky & index.

Live, Love, Laugh

Hi everyone! About two years ago, I went through a taupe/brown nail polish phase and acquired a few of them. Sadly, they are now a little bit neglected in my collection, so I decided to pull one of them out to give it some love again :P

This pretty taupe is Ulta3 Earl grey and when it first came out, there was a slight craze with it - it seemed like all the nail polish loving ladies in Australia just had to have it! I was lucky enough to find it a couple of months later, hiding amongst the other shades in the Ulta3 bins.

On my pinky, I created a double french tip look using Ulta3 Black satin and some striping tape. I took out BM-405 and Ulta3 Lily white to stamp with on my ring finger. For my index, I layered a thin coat of Ulta3 xoxo, a lovely shimmery polish. I decided to add a heart rhinestone onto my middle finger to complete the look.

I really love how simple it was to put this look together. What do you think?

A steampunk nail art

Hello hello! In this post, I am showing my attempt at a 'steampunk' nail art look :P I'm not sure I did the theme justice, but I actually quite liked the way this manicure turned out anyway.

The black is two coats of Ulta3 Black satin. I simply added some studs onto my pinky. On my ring finger, I have three coats of Shimmer Polish Candace. I stamped the image from BM-415 onto my middle finger. For my index, I created a gold glitter gradient using Alanna Renee Golden snitch. Lastly, I applied two coats of Hello Kitty Golden girl onto my thumb.

I love how classic black and gold look together, and in this case, a touch 'badass' too ;) What do you think of this look?

Of mermaids and the sea

Hello :) I believe my initial inspiration behind this manicure was a mermaid theme, but I got a little carried away and it became more of an ocean inspired look. Never mind, I love this manicure all the same ♥

I started with a coat of OPI Can't find my Czechbook. I then took Can't find my Czechbook, Australis Sky high and Ulta3 Lily white to create the gradient look. Finally, I layered a coat of Ozotic #906 over the gradient. I then took my newly acquired sea shell studs from Born Pretty Store and various other studs and pearls to complete the look.

I am such a huge fan of the current stud trend and can't seem to get enough of it sometimes ;) You can find the beautiful sea shell studs on Born Pretty Store retailing at $2.78 for a pack of 20. The studs I used on my index and pinky nails can also be found on the Born Pretty Store website here.

Simple purple & gold skittle

Hello :) Here is a quick post featuring a simple purple & gold skittle look I wore a while back. The purple is Nicole by OPI Love song and the gold Hello Kitty Golden girl. I added a pearl and some bullion beads for a more blingy accent nail and created a glitter gradient with Essence Make it golden.

What do you do when you want to dress up your nails a bit more than a plain colour, but feel a bit too lazy to do so? :P

Bejewelled nails

Hi ladies! What to do when in the mood for some blinged out nails? Why, dig out all the 3D accessories you own and go to town with them :D

I started this manicure with two coats of Australis Peek-a-boo. It's a very camera shy shade and leans way too blue in photos than it is in real life. It's definitely more of a blurple. On my ring and index fingers, I added a glitter gradient using Nicole by OPI Inner sparkle.

My nails were super bumpy, but definitely blingy ^^ Are you a fan of this type of excessive 3D nail art?

Music ♥ nail art

Hello everyone :) If you have been a long time reader of my blog, you may have seen my previous attempt at creating some music nail art. A little over a year later, Bundle Monster has released a stamp design which features some musical notation, so of course I had to create another look inspired by the image. I started with two coats of OPI Can't find my Czechbook, and then stamped with Hello Kitty Golden girl on my thumb and middle nail. I also applied two coats of Golden girl on my ring nail. For my index and pinky, I stuck some heart studs at the base of my nails.

It's a much simpler music themed nail art compared to my last manicure, but I like it all the same :) What do you think?

Hello everyone~ Today's post has a simple and easy nail look :) I applied two coats of OPI Parlez-vous OPI? onto my pinky & index nails, before stamping a design from BM-417 over it with Ulta3 gold rush fever. On my ring, I have two coats of OPI Baby please come home. My middle nail has two coats of OPI My vampire is buff and some studs.

Simple and effective, my go to nail look preference as usual ;) What do you think of this manicure?

Soft, girly dreamcatcher

Hi ladies. Today's nails has a little back story, so please bear with me ;)

So here I am, casually browsing facebook and I see my friend has 'liked' a Korean drama called 'The Heirs'. Curious me checks it out and am hooked with the storyline. Cliched rich-boy-meets-poor-girl-plot, cute actors, pretty actresses and a few familiar faces on screen (what can I say, I've been out of the K-drama loop for awhile!)...I'm a goner.

Anyway, the drama has a dreamcatcher in it - which is pretty significant - so I just had to create a manicure with it ^^ I started with three coats of OPI Don't burst my bubble and then stamped the image on BM-407 with Rimmel Your majesty. To tie in the soft and girly look, I layered OPI Pirouette my whistle on my middle nail and thumb, and then added rhinestones onto my index & pinky nails.

And the inspiration behind this manicure :)

Needless to say, I adored this look ♥

Sparkly, cat nails :)

Hi ladies! Here is another manicure I put together using Bundle Monster's newest plate collection. I started with two coats of OPI My vampire is buff - a gorgeous off white shade which I can't stop reaching for! I stamped the design from BM-412 with Ulta3 black satin and then added some glitter using Australis Carnivale chaos. Finish off with some studs and voilà :)

I'm really proud of the way it turned out and adore how the rainbow glitters stood out against the clean base shade. What do you think of this look?

Hello everyone! Yes, this is yet another studded look ;)

Pinky: Two coats of OPI My vampire is buff and then I added a circle stud towards the base of the nail.
Ring: Two coats of OPI  A grape fit.
Middle: Two coats of My vampire is buff. On half of the nail, I applied a thick coat of A grape fit and took OPI Need sunglasses and a black striper polish for the cheetah look. I then took some studs and stuck them onto the middle of the nail.
Index: Two coats of A grape fit layered with Sweet Color #1.
Thumb: Two coats of OPI  A grape fit.

I absolutely loved the overall look of this ♥ Do you like to skittle?

Studded, neutral and black

Hello hello~ Hands up if you're loving the stud trend right now! *waves hands in the air* I feel like almost ever second manicure idea I think of includes some sort of stud accessory haha. Today's post is another one which features these awesome 3D accessories.

Pinky: Two coats of Orly Matte vinyl.
Ring: Two coats of OPI Did you 'ear about Van Gough?
Middle: Ulta3 black satin and Did you 'ear about Van Gough? on half the nail. I then took some gold studs and applied them down the middle.
Index: Two coats of Did you 'ear about Van Gough? and then layered with Ozotic 905.
Thumb: two coats of Did you 'ear about Van Gough?. I then applied black satin down the middle of the nail and added some larger silver square studs over it.

Are you as into the studded nail look as I am? ;)

Animal print skittle

Hi there! Here is a quick post of some animal print nails (plus studs!) I did awhile back.

Pinky, index & thumb: Two coats of OPI Did you 'ear about Van Gough?
Ring: Two coats of Did you 'ear about Van Gough? stamped with a zebra print using Ulta3 lily white. The black is Ulta3 black satin.
Middle: Two coats of lily white and stamped with black satin. I taped off half the nail and layered China Glaze Poinsettia over it. Covered the middle with studs!

Blue, studs and drag marbling

Hello ladies :) Here is a quick and simple skittle look using my favourite nail art accessory at the moment - studs! ♥

Pinky: Two coats of Picture Polish Electric blue.
Ring: Two coats of Ulta3 black satin and drag marbled with OPI Dining al Frisco.
Middle: Two coats of Electric blue accessorised with studs :)
Index: Two coats of Dining al Frisco.
Thumb: Two coats of Dining al Frisco and stamped with zebra print.

Besides the failed stamping on my thumb, I quite liked the final outcome :) What do you think of it?

Purple studded houndstooth

Hi ladies :) Here is a purple houndstooth nail look I wore awhile back and absolutely loved ♥ It was inspired by Emma's nails found here.

I started with two coats of Nicole by OPI Love song, and then stamped a houndstooth design with Ulta3 gold rush fever. I also added some studs to give the manicure an edgier look. On my thumb, I applied a reverse glitter gradient using Nicole by OPI Confetti fun.

I loved this look so much ^^ What do you think of it?
