A steampunk nail art

Hello hello! In this post, I am showing my attempt at a 'steampunk' nail art look :P I'm not sure I did the theme justice, but I actually quite liked the way this manicure turned out anyway.

gold & black studded computer

The black is two coats of Ulta3 Black satin. I simply added some studs onto my pinky. On my ring finger, I have three coats of Shimmer Polish Candace. I stamped the image from BM-415 onto my middle finger. For my index, I created a gold glitter gradient using Alanna Renee Golden snitch. Lastly, I applied two coats of Hello Kitty Golden girl onto my thumb.

I love how classic black and gold look together, and in this case, a touch 'badass' too ;) What do you think of this look?

Razzled and Dazzled Vampire

Hi ladies :) Here is a quick and pretty layering I did while I was in the mood for a neutral look. I used two coats of OPI My vampire is buff and then layered over it Savvy Razzle and dazzle.

I just love how the golden shimmer still looks so amazing over the cleaner and lighter base shade. And the hex glitters...♥ Mmmm, I love this layering! :D

Of mermaids and the sea

Hello :) I believe my initial inspiration behind this manicure was a mermaid theme, but I got a little carried away and it became more of an ocean inspired look. Never mind, I love this manicure all the same ♥

I started with a coat of OPI Can't find my Czechbook. I then took Can't find my Czechbook, Australis Sky high and Ulta3 Lily white to create the gradient look. Finally, I layered a coat of Ozotic #906 over the gradient. I then took my newly acquired sea shell studs from Born Pretty Store and various other studs and pearls to complete the look.

OPI Black Cherry Chutney

Hi ladies! OPI Black cherry chutney is one of those classic vampy shades with a gorgeous hidden shimmer. Meaning - you have to fully appreciate it when direct light hits it! This was two easy coats.

Under indirect sunlight, it looks like a gorgeous vampy red-purple polish - so appropriate for the cooler months of the year!

Choc chip mint nails!

Hello everyone :) We had some chocolate chip mint ice cream the other day in the freezer, which inspired me to try and recreate it on my nails. This falls under a more abstract nail art look, but hey, you've gotta work with the limited time you've got! ;)

This was two coats of OPI Thanks a windmillion layered with a dabbled coat of Ulta3 Outasight. I then added two thin coats of Flormar #20 to give it a more crelly sandwich look.

Purple & pink gradient stamped

Hello everyone. Today's post is inspired by the amazingly talented Cathy over at More Nail Polish. When I saw her gradient with stamping manicure, I knew I would have to give it a shot myself. I decided to use OPI A grape fit and Australis K-pop for the gradient, before layering with Alanna Renee Milky way. For my ring and middle fingers, I painted A grape fit and K-pop randomly over the nail before stamping with BM-410 and Ulta3 Black satin.

I'm really in love with the gradient look right now, so expect to see some more nail looks featuring this technique ;)

A blue and white nail request

Hi ladies. One of my colleagues at work requested for some blue and white nails so I went along with it and came up with this skittle :)

On my pinky & index, I have two coats of OPI Can't find my Czechbook. I layered OPI Pirouette my whistle onto my index finger and took a dotting tool for the dots on my pinky. My middle finger and thumb have two coats of China Glaze Caribbean blue. On my ring finger, I applied two coats of Ulta3 Lily white and then layered two coats of Picture Polish Splash over it.

Shopping the stash: O for Ozotic

Hi everyone :) Here is a quick post featuring the gorgeous Ozotic 914. The duochrome effect isn't the strongest, but I still love the subtle shift from blue to purple.

Chinese New Year 2014

Hey everyone! This is a belated Chinese New Year post to show you the simple nails I had welcoming in the year of the Horse :) This manicure is inspired by the talented @nailsbywenz over on Instagram. I didn't have any flower nail stickers so I decided to freehand them instead and added a gold rhinestone from Born Pretty Store as an accent.

cny2014

I applied OPI The thrill of Brazil at the tips on all of my nails except for my ring and thumb. As the accent nails, I have two coats of OPI Love.Angel.Baby.Music and finished the look off with top coat.

cny2014

I love how rhinestones can be used to add a little more interest to nail art like flowers :) You can find a pack of three different rhinestone shape wheels on Born Pretty Store for $8.58. I also have a discount coupon PIJ61 for an extra 10% off , on top of the free shipping BPS offers worldwide.

Thank you for reading.

Ulta3 Triple Threat

Hey there! There's just something so satisfying with wearing a simple manicure after a series of nail art looks - or in my case, when still in a nail art slump haha. It really helps with rediscovering some forgotten gems in the stash ;) This was two coats of Ulta3 Triple threat.
