Hey everyone :) I have the pleasure of showing you a second nail polish from Orly's Hope and Freedom collection, to be released in March 2013. Elation Generation is a pretty pink based polish with a slight coral tinge and has silver glitter swimming amongst the base. I have two coats in the photos and really loved how well the polish flowed onto my nails when applying.
Breathtaking, no? And that's coming for a vampy shade kinda girl ;) I love that the collection has a hippy feel towards it and the names are just so fit for the nail polish :D What do you think, any you'll be picking up?
Thanks for reading!

Love this polish! We don't have Orly here but if we did I would pick this up no bother. Very pretty
ReplyDeleteOhhhh. I can't wait til these come out! This is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteoooh i love elation generation!!! this collection cannot come soon enough
ReplyDeleteOooh, Orly are really pulling it out of the bag recently, love this ! Will have to get it when it comes out :)
ReplyDeleteWow - from the graphic color blobs - this looked like it was going to be a nothing, very dupy cream...I really love this and can see getting it and wearing it a lot in summer! Cannot wait to see the rest of this collection - I saw a swatch of the deeper blue one that has 'stuff' in it too.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, that's one bold color!
ReplyDeleteIt's so frustrating when beautiful polishes aren't as easily accessible overseas! I hope you can somehow get your hands on it, it's truly amazing :)
ReplyDeleteRun and get it when you can! :D
ReplyDeleteI know right! So many of the nail polishes look like stunners :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! I love how it's upping the game - I'm really anticipating the other nail polishes from the collection too :)
ReplyDeleteThe computer generated blobs really don't do nail polishes justice most of the time. I almost always refer to swatches online before buying a nail polish...comes in handy ;)
ReplyDeleteYou so need this one though! :D
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I actually picked this up from Sally's the other day, and as soon as I swatched it, I thought "I've seen this before..." I went nuts digging through my polish (which, as all you polish junkies know, is like looking for a needle in a haystack), until I finally found it - Julep's 'Sarah'. There is one difference - Sarah is more sheer, almost jelly-like. But when I swatched 3 coats of Sarah vs 2 coats of Elation Generation, they were dead ringers. Because of the consistancy difference, I don't know if they'd 'technically' be considered dupes. But to me they're dupes. I actually ended up giving Elation Generation to my best friend - she stopped by while I was comparing them, and raved over how pretty they were. Being the good friend I am, I gave up the Orly (although I have to admitt, the polish junkie in me was crying... lol).
ReplyDeleteI love your little story, Jess! :D I don't own any Julep nail polishes as they don't ship internationally but I'm glad you were able to offer Elation Generation a new home. Sometimes it's so hard to part with our polishes, no matter how similar they are... ;)
