Hi everyone! I'm sure most of you have heard of the sugar spun nail art technique by now and recently, I saw a great alternative to it on Pinterest. Armed with my fan brush and nail polishes, I went to town :D I started off with two coats of Eclipse #706. Once that was dried, I used my fan brush and BYS Colour Change Bright pink and I believe Misa Office polish-tics (sorry, mind blanked and can't be 100% sure!) to give the 'sugar spun' look.
Whilst mine didn't turn out looking as great as the one from Pinterest, I think this was a good first attempt. Because of the constant need to clean the fan brush in between applications though, I'll probably save this for an accent nail look in the future. What do you think, will be you be trying this nail art technique out? Which one do you prefer?
Thanks for reading!

ReplyDeleteWow, like an aquarelle painting. So cool.
ReplyDeleteI like this! The other spun sugar looks I've seen have been more textured and I am not a fan of that. I like this better!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of this and I want to try it myself, but it does seem rather involved!
ReplyDeleteI like your choice of colour! Going to try this :D
ReplyDeletethis is definitely the best one I've seen yet.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Vedrana :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, neither am I ;) That's why when I saw this technique, I knew it was time for me to try it out. Loving it so much! ♥
ReplyDeleteIt definitely takes some patience, especially with the brush cleaning in between nails :P I'll be doing this again but only as an accent!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eva! Would love to see your attempt - you can email it or share it on my facebook page :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! :D I'm glad you like it ^^
ReplyDeleteI think it might happen tomorrow! I'll send you message when I tried it and it turned out okay enough :D
