Drag marbling

Hello~ :) Awhile ago, I tried out drag marbling and it looks so pretty when done correctly, haha! As usual, Colette over at My Simple Little Pleasures was a great inspiration for this mani.

I started off with two thick coats of OPI You don't know Jacques over my base coat and then used my dotting tool to place three random dots of Ulta3 spring shower onto the wet polish. Using a toothpick, I randomly swirled the polish surface and waited a little while before sealing it with my top coat. I really love how simple drag marbling is, now I've just got to experiment more with it :D

  4. That looks really nice :) I tried marbling once and plowed through two full bottles of polish! *gasp* Thank goodness it was cheap polish. I think this might work a bit better for me, I'm going to try it!

  5. Wow, that's beautiful. My nails are usually just one colour, but I am inspired to try something like that. I don't know anything about marbling. Would I be able to recreat something like that, or should I not even try?

  23. I can't get this to work :( does the base polish still need to be wet? sorry if thats a really stupid question!

  24. No, that's not a stupid question! The base definitely has to be wet, I've made many mistakes when trying drag marbling in the past with a dry/tacky base :P. I highly recommend checking out My Simple Little Pleasures' youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/SimpleLittlePleasues - she has some marvelous tutorials :)
