Swatches and review: OPI The Amazing Spider-man collection

Hi ladies~ I thought I'd put together a post of the polishes I showed the past few days just so that it will all be in one place - it's probably more helpful :) You can click on the name of the polish to go to the individual post on the polish.

Call me Gwen-ever is a lovely coral-orange crème. It's bright, but not as bright as a neon. The swatches below show two coats of the awesome orange. The formula on this beauty is lovely to work with - it's neither thick nor thin and levelled out in two coats.

Number one nemesis is a lovely shimmer polish which is a close dupe to Chanel Graphite. Because it is a shimmer polish, the formula was slightly thinner. If you're not patient, you can get away with two thicker coats, or if you don't mind, three thinner coats will also do. I wore this for three days and there was only a little tip wear on the polish :)

Just spotted the lizard is a beautiful duochrome! Being a dupe of Chanel Peridot, I was more than happy to let this into my polish family, especially since I was lemming it so much. Because it has a metallic polish finish, brush strokes are going to be more apparent. You definitely need to have a light hand to avoid them being as obvious in my photos! Swatches below show two coats - look at the beautiful shift from gold to orange to green :D

Swatches and review: Just spotted the lizard

Hi everyone~ Up last of what I have from OPI The Amazing Spider-man collection is Just spotted the lizard. This was the polish I was most looking forward to in the collection due to the beautiful duochrome. As well as the fact that I was lusting after Chanel Peridot and finally got my hands on a cheap and easily accessible dupe, of course.

I applied two coats of Just spotted the lizard onto my nails. The duochrome shift from gold to orange to green is really apparent and soooo beautiful! I can't wait to wear this one as a full mani :D Unfortunately, as I was in a rush when applying Just spotted the lizard, the brush marks were really apparent in my photos. I think that if I had spent more time carefully applying the polish, this could have been avoided.

I hear that there are heaps of other dupes for the Chanel in the US but seeing as I live in Australia...Just spotted the lizard really is my best bet haha! What do you think of this polish and all the dupes?

Swatches and review: Number one nemesis

Hello~Second up from OPI's The Amazing Spider-man collection is Number one nemesis. I was quite excited with this polish as I heard it was a Chanel Graphite dupe. Dupe or not though, this one is a pretty! ♥

The formula on this was thinner and I applied two thick coats of Number one nemesis in my photos below. Prior to swatching this, I had actually worn it as a full mani (no photos cos they were crap), which required three thinner coats. Either way, I loved the outcome, so go with whichever you prefer!

Mmmm, these photos really don't do the polish justice. Trust me, it definitely is worth owning! Are you in love or are you in love? :D

Swatches and review: Call me Gwen-ever

Hi everyone~ I have such a backlog of photos, I don't think I've ever had this many to post! All thanks to my lost blogging mojo, of course. However, I think it's slowly coming back, so I should be resuming more regular posting soon...hopefully.

Last week, I received some polishes from OPI The Amazing Spider-man to show you all, so I guess I better get started. Today's post features the beautiful crème orange-coral from the collection - Call me Gwen-ever. I found the formula on this polish really easy to work with and opaque in two coats. My camera decided to make the polish look more of a juicy orange, however, it really is a little brighter in real life.

Usually, I'm not a huge fan of oranges but this one really blew me over! I think I'm really hopping onto the orange trend...better late than never! :P Are you an orange lover and does this polish take your fancy?

Hi ladies~I received some lovely nail mail yesterday; my A-England nail polishes arrived! I'm super excited to try them out, they're all holographic yumminess.

I've totally jumped onto the A-England bandwagon and I don't think I'll be regretting it :D

I lily love you layered

Hello hello~ Sorry for the lack of posts, prac is really playing with my moods. Hopefully regular posting will resume after it's all over.

I did this mani awhile ago and I feel like I'll need to try it again soon. I love how it looks! ♥ I started with two coats of Australis Blackmail and then layered OPI I lily love you over it. I can't remember if it was one or two coats though.

Simple and pretty. I love it! :) What do you think?
