When holo and leopard meet

Hi everyone~ :) I've been a total slacker and haven't even started studying for my next exam, how good am I? :P Instead, I've been relaxing and watching lots of drama, hehe. And painting my nails :) I really liked how this mani turned out, too bad I somehow wrinkled it.

The polishes I used in the mani:
Color Club Wild at heart
Ulta3 black satin, gooseberry
Glossyblossom nail art striper in white, violet
holo leopard4

Wild at heart is such a gorgeous holo and the awesome thing is that it's so opaque in one coat. I applied two out of habit but if you're careful, you can save this beauty and get away with one coat :). The photo below shows what it looks like in the sun. I can hardly remember what the sun looks like anymore, it's been raining so much here. And it's supposed to for the rest of the week too... :(

What do you think of this mani? I'm quite pleased with it and will try other combinations in the future too :D

And the blues hit

Hi~^^ For some reason I'm feeling super cheerful even though I'll be sitting in an exam room this time tomorrow...strange thing, emotions are :P. Especially when I was feeling a bit down only a couple of days ago. Hence the blue(ish) mani.

I applied two coats of Ulta3 spring shower onto my index and pinky nails. I then layered China Glaze White cap onto my index. On my thumb and fourth finger, I applied two coats of China Glaze Caribbean blue. Finally, on my middle finger I have two coats of Ulta3 lily white.

I love how simple but effective this mani looks! Makes me want to try out an ombre mani someday.... :)

Holo and glitter, what more can you ask for?

Hey everyone~ :) I just finished typing up my notes for an upcoming exam and feel like rewarding myself for having a super productive day hehe. Below is two coats of Ulta3 black satin with two coats of OPI Last friday night layered over it. I applied two coats of Color Club Revvvolution to my accent nails. Every time I pull out Revvvolution to wear, a huge smile spreads across my face. It's definitely my favourite holo of all time!♥

And in the sun, when my mani comes to life haha. Look at all that colour from Revvvolution and the beautiful glitter!

Faye, oh Faye ♥

Hello~ Zoya Faye, which is part of the Sunshine collection, was part of my recent ebay haul and one of my most anticipated polishes from the haul. So naturally it was the first one I popped on :P. The polish is so hard to capture, what with the great abundance of gold flecks. Love the gold flecks though, and dimmer lighting my mani actually looked gold rather than pinkish mauve, which is the base colour of the polish.

What do you think of this polish? It's definitely my favourite from the collection and I'm glad I caved and purchased it! :D

Full nail water decals

Hello~ :) As promised in my previous post, here's my attempt at using the full nail water decals from Viva la nails.

I chose to use the Burberry patterned decal first. Application was pretty simple, you simple dip the strip into some water like other types of decals for 10 seconds and then gently slide it off the backing. What I found the most difficult to work with was that the decal took a really long time to dry and as a result moved around on my nail quite a bit. The entire mani took me close to 2hrs to finish, although this can also be attributed to my inexperience with applying it :P. I'd say with more experience I'll be able to do it in half the time.

What do you think of these full nail water decals? I think they're a nice change to the nail polish strips which are being released by other companies although I haven't experienced using them. With more practice, the nail decals should be easy to work with, you just need to be patient with drying time before applying your top coat.
