Cult Nails Let me fly

Hi ladies~ I recently got my wisdom teeth pulled out so I'm really short on words! Besides the fact that my jaws acheeeeee, here are some pretty nails ;) I applied two coats of Cult Nails Let me fly onto my nails and then went to town!

Pinky & index: glitter gradient with OPI Rainbow connection
Ring: layered with The Face Shop BL801
Middle & thumb: stuck on a 2mm stud from Born Pretty Store

Mmm, Let me fly is gorgeous, no? :) I just love the shimmer in this polish - it's not hidden, but not too apparent either. Do you own this beauty? Oh, and please take a moment to like Polish Infatuated on facebook too!

Thanks for reading.

A teal and glittery layering combo

Hello hello~ Short post today because I'm pooped! I layered two coats of The Face Shop BL801 over Australis Blackmail and was blown away by the pretty teal shimmer which appeared.

Yum yum ♥The Face Shop should start naming their polishes. It's so hard to remember what they're called without having to refer back to my nail polish spreadsheet.

Do unnamed nail polishes frustrate you? What's the worse you've come across?

A little layering with purple

Hey there! :) Today's post is from the vault - I've had these photos sitting around in my folder for quite awhile. This is two coats of Essie St Lucia lilac layered with a coat of The Face Shop PP404. Simple and pretty, plus it's purple so what's not to like! :P

I love the subtle shimmer PP404 gives to the overall look. Do you like subtle manicures or bolder ones? :)

Oh, and stay tuned for some nail art in the coming days - I've been sitting around at home BORED so turned my (limited) creative juices on :P

You need this glitter in your life ♥

Hi everyone~! Sorry for not posting as regularly now, I really do think I've lost my inspiration to blog :( My nails haven't been all that interesting lately as well - I've just been sporting plain manis *shockhorror* Hopefully some sort of nail art inspiration will hit me soon!

Anyway, here's a mani I wore awhile ago. I've been putting off wearing  The Face Shop BL801 since I was too lazy to find a good base polish shade. I finally decided to wear it over two coats of OPI Thanks a windmillion and layered a thick coat over it.

By the way, that's not tip wear you see on my middle nail. I had initially planned some nail art but it flopped and I was too lazy to remove the white polish so...I slapped the green polish on over it!

Besides the gorgeous holo glitter you can see so apparently, just look at that beautiful shimmer! *is in awe* I totally need to layer BL801 over a darker green shade; hopefully that'll bring out the shimmer more :D

First attempt at drawing roses

Hi everyone~ Awhile back, I came across a rose nail art tutorial on youtube and decided to give it a go, seeing as it looked quite simple.

I applied three coats of The Face Shop PP404 onto my index and pinky nails. It is a sheer lavender shade with a light shimmer running throughout it. I think I'll be layering this over a light purple next time! On my thumb and fourth finger, I applied three coats of NOPI Kim-pletely in love. On my middle finger, I applied two coats of Ulta3 lily white. The rose nail art was made with Sinful Colors Vela and lily white. I've forgotten what polish I used for the leaves, sorry!

My topcoat bubbled, unfortunately, hence the ugly bubbles on my middle nail. And I thought my roses looks kind of like goldfishes too! :( Oh well, practise makes perfect so hopefully they'll look much better next time.

My Hong Kong haul

Hi ladies! I was able to pick up some nail polishes during my trip to Hong Kong. While this isn't a huge haul (I was good and only picked up polishes I really wanted!), it has fulfilled my goal to pick up some Asian (read Korean :P) brands as well as welcome into my stash some OPIs I have been lemming but was unable to get my hands on.

hk haul1

Firstly, some OPIs I have had my eyes on for awhile :P I was good and only bought four although I was sorely tempted in the shop to buy more!

Road house blues, I juggle...men, I lilly love you, Russian navy suede

And some Korean nail polishes! :D The annoying thing about them though, is the lack of proper name! They all have numbers only and it's so hard to remember which one is which.

Etude HouseWH702, The Face Shop BL801, PP404, PK102, Skinfood VI408

hk haul3

On my second last day, I spied some Flormar nail polish which were only 10HKD - that's only 1.25AUD!! Sadly, what I thought was white nail polish turned out to be extremely sheer. Hopefully it has some hidden element which will surprise me when I bring it out for layering! And frustratingly, these polishes don't have names either! :(

I also picked up some Steam cream while I was in Hong Kong since my skin was sooooooooo dry from the winter air. And it is what a lifesaver it was! After two uses, my skin was back to its moisturised self and oh-so-smooth. It was almost like touching baby skin - yes it was that smooth! I'm currently using the cream sparingly haha, but once I run out, I'll definitely be buying more :D

Thanks for looking!
