Layering with Alias

Hi ladies~ Thanks so much to the girls who have helped me clear my stash and bought from my blog sale :) If you haven't done so, check it out here! I'm happy to negotiate prices so do email me if you see anything you like!

Anyway, onto the polish :) What do you get when you cross a purple with duochrome? Utter perfection, that's what ♥ I started off with two coats of Ulta3 Royal fever, which I forgot to take a photo of, darn! It's a gorgeous purple crème - soooo opaque too! Anyway, I decided to layer over it Color Club Alias as I've been meaning to use it again ^^ Since it's sheer, layering it was! Photos show two coats of Alias over Royal fever.

  12. I love the look of this... awesome swatches like this were the reason I bought Alias, which I just wore for the first time last week.  Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the duochrome effect not really showing up for me on the nail.  It just looked like a fabulous purple without any of the gold showing up.  Do you think the duochrome effect shows up better with layering?  I just used Alias on it's own, two or three coats, I think.

  13. Thank you :) Did you make sure your bottle was nicely mixed by rolling it between your hands? Sometimes the heavy pigments fall to the bottom of the bottle and so you don't see it on your nail when painted. And duochromes have an uncanny knack of making you twist your hands around heaps just so you can catch all the colours! :)
