Hi everyone! If you're a fan of 'ugly' colours, you'll love the nail polish I'm about to show you. I was in the mood for a more 'out there' mani the other day and so I decided to pull out
OPI Uh-oh roll down the window to try on. In the photos below, I applied two coats. I'm not one for ugly shades like this but I actually quite liked this polish. It applied well onto my nails and the formula was pretty good - I had no issues with it.
Unfortunately, this mani didn't last long as I decided to try some fail-art on it. Being a fail, I took it off immediately and slapped on another polish :P Oh well. I enjoyed it while it lasted.
Anyone else like ugly shades like this one?
Thanks for dropping by!

huge fan! Ugly colours are the best they always make me feel really fashion forward!!!
ReplyDeleteNot my type of colour, unfortunately. :(
ReplyDeleteHaha, never thought of it as fashion forward! But I'm glad you're giving some love to these shades :P
ReplyDeleteHaha, not everyone's cup of tea. I think I'm picky with them too, I don't like the truly ugly shades :P
ReplyDeleteI´m not a fan of ugly shades. I would use it only with some nail art.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what you think is ugly about this colour. Very few colours are ugly in and of themselves, honestly. But I actually have two shirts almost exactly that colour and everyone comments how green they make my eyes look. ^_^ Of course, I'm a nail art fanatic, so I would definitely put something on top of it, but that colour would look perfectly normal on me by itself. :)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have chosen this from the bottle but it actually looks nice on! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of "ugly" colors because I have learned ugly in the bottle can = pretty on the hand. Unfortunately, it took me a while to learn the reverse (have I learned yet?) that pretty in the bottle doesn't always = pretty on my hand/skin tone.
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's what I normally do with polishes I don't like so much. Oh-so useful! :D
ReplyDeleteI think it comes down to personal preference. There definitely are colours I would classify as 'ugly' in that they're not very appealing to my eyes. Just like there are things we think are ugly or disgusting in other areas of life and other things cute and pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThat being said, this one was a surprise and I ended up quite liking it! <3
Mmm, sometimes nail polishes can be such surprises :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that's sooooooo true! Some polishes have been such disappointments, especially when they looked so gorgeous in the bottle.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's really ugly. It's just a color we don't see everyday, but that makes it unique. And I think it looks very nice on you. I see it as kind of a neutral, but that's just me ;)
ReplyDeleteI love "ugly pretty" colours! This is one of my absolute favourite polishes! As soon as I saw this when it first came out, I knew I'd love it! The more weird the colour, the more I love it. haha Plus I wear olive green a bit, especially in the winter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comment! I think after I get used to the colour, it does look quite nice :)
ReplyDeleteThere are just some of us who love all things unique! :P
ReplyDeleteI quite like khaki nails - they make me feel badass! Especially paired with some butt-kicking boots :)
ReplyDeleteITS NOT UGLY AT ALL ITS VERY NICE!
ReplyDeleteOh, must try asap! When we get the lovely cold weather of course. Give it to meeeeee Australia, I want to break out my boots from HK! :D
ReplyDeleteTo each her own :) I'm glad you like this one!
ReplyDeleteI love "ugly" colours :]
ReplyDeleteYay! :D I'm beginning to think they're quite nice too :P
ReplyDeleteI adore ugly colors. I usually fall madly in love with them in the store and have them purchased and home before I think, "But how is armadillo gray going to look on me?" haha But I absolutely adore them. And I admit to coveting that green of yours. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm growing to appreciate them more too! :P This shade is amazingggggggg <3 It's now become my favourite green!
