Hello~ :) Awhile ago, I tried out drag marbling and it looks so pretty when done correctly, haha! As usual, Colette over at My Simple Little Pleasures was a great inspiration for this mani.
I started off with two thick coats of OPI You don't know Jacques over my base coat and then used my dotting tool to place three random dots of Ulta3 spring shower onto the wet polish. Using a toothpick, I randomly swirled the polish surface and waited a little while before sealing it with my top coat. I really love how simple drag marbling is, now I've just got to experiment more with it :D

ReplyDeleteThis looks very nice! I really need to try drag marbling.
ReplyDeleteThat looks really nice :) I tried marbling once and plowed through two full bottles of polish! *gasp* Thank goodness it was cheap polish. I think this might work a bit better for me, I'm going to try it!
ReplyDeleteLove this! Tutorial!?
ReplyDeleteWow, that's beautiful. My nails are usually just one colour, but I am inspired to try something like that. I don't know anything about marbling. Would I be able to recreat something like that, or should I not even try?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And I love your color choices - they go so well together. :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a really nice job! My first attempt sucked, so I'll have to give it another go~
ReplyDeleteStacie: Thank you so much! The colour combo is love, hehe <3
ReplyDeleteAngeles: Thank you :) It's so much simpler compared to water marbling, you should try it!
Zara: Thanks! I'd love to see your attempt :D
ReplyDeleteBreigh: Wow! Good thing they were cheap then, haha. I'd love to see your drag marbling!
Antoszewskia: Awww, thank you ♥ I'll try and do a tutorial sometime soon! :)
ReplyDeletenicolthepickle: I think this is simple enough for anyone to try! :) Hopefully I can get a tutorial up for this sometime soon and that it'll be helpful ^^
Lacquer Ware for Tips and Toes: Thanks! I thought they were odd colours, but they came together pretty well ^^
ReplyDeleteFreshie: Awwww, no worries. My first attempt was quite a failure too haha. I'd love to see your drag marbling when you try it again :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comment! :D
ReplyDeleteOoh, now I'm craving that haha. Do share a link if you do, I'd love to see it!
ReplyDeleteI can't get this to work :( does the base polish still need to be wet? sorry if thats a really stupid question!
ReplyDeleteNo, that's not a stupid question! The base definitely has to be wet, I've made many mistakes when trying drag marbling in the past with a dry/tacky base :P. I highly recommend checking out My Simple Little Pleasures' youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/SimpleLittlePleasues - she has some marvelous tutorials :)
ReplyDeleteoooo, I like it! The blue reminds me of swirls of smoke. It's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kellie! ^^
