Swatches and review: Born Pretty Store holographic nail polishes

Hello everyone~ I have had these pretty holographic shades for awhile but either did not have the time to swatch them or the sun wasn't out when I could swatch them. Until last weekend! I got through some major swatch backlog and hopefully once I've finished editing photos I'll be able to post them up too ;) For now, I have two Born Pretty Store holographic nail polishes to share with you.

One thing I have to say about these two polishes is that the holographic goodness is quite strong. The photos do it no justice as the holo is much stronger in real life. In regards to the formula, both were similar - drying time was average and no dragging resulted when i went back for a second or third coat.

This is three thin coats of Born Pretty Store #9. It's a tan and rather neutral holographic polish and is also rather sheer. As you can see, I applie three coats and there was still some visible nail line. I don't own any holos in this shade so this is definitely welcomed into my stash despite the sheerness. It'll be quite useful for when I need more work appropriate shades.

#3 is a bright fuchsia shade. My camera toned down the brightness of the colour a bit. This one is a lot more opaque; my swatch below shows two coats.

You can find these holographic shades plus the rest of the line here on the Born Pretty Store website. Each bottle retails for $12.88 but they're pretty much always on sale and are over 50% off. Don't forget you can use my code PIJ61 for an extra 10% off your purchase.

How many holographic nail polishes do you own? Do you need any more? :P

Thanks for reading!
