Cult Nails Let me fly

Hi ladies~ I recently got my wisdom teeth pulled out so I'm really short on words! Besides the fact that my jaws acheeeeee, here are some pretty nails ;) I applied two coats of Cult Nails Let me fly onto my nails and then went to town!

Pinky & index: glitter gradient with OPI Rainbow connection
Ring: layered with The Face Shop BL801

My first Cult Nails! :)

Hi everyone :) I'm really excited to show my recent Cult Nails purchase! I've been eyeing some of the nail polishes for some time and when my last top coat ran low, I caved and bought some polishes, along with Wicket Fast. Which, by the way, is Wicked fast! ;) If you've been following me on facebook then you'll have seen this already, but for those of you who don't, here are the pics of the haul :)

I just adore the way my purchase was packaged in such an environmentally friendly way. I either recycle the packaging or in the case of the cotton balls, use them to remove my old nail polish ;)

From left to right, top to bottom:

Did I mention that I stocked up on the treatments? :P

Here are some quick swatches of the nail polishes on my swatch sticks. Be sure to check out my manis in the following posts which will feature them! :)

Hmmm, I should do a post of my swatch sticks one day too.... :P What do you think of my choices? Do you own any Cult nail polishes? Don't forget to like my facebook page too ^^

Pink and black 'rocker' nails?

Hi ladies~ Whenever I picture pink and black together, I somehow associate them with a 'rocker' image. Of course, my nails don't really look like that theme simply because I don't have the ability to pull it off :P Anyways, here is my pink and black manicure :)

Pinky & index: two coats of Australis Blackmail and layered with OPI Nothin' mousie 'bout it
Ring & thumb: drag marbling with Blackmail and China Glaze Ahoy!
Middle: two coats of Ahoy! and layered with Nothin' mousie 'bout it

For some reason, I just need most of my nails to be different recently. I can't seem to have them all looking the same :S Dilemma really, when it comes to painting! What do you think of these skittle nails? :)

Swatches & review: Picture Polish Splash

Hi there~ Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been really caught up with life recently. I haven't had the most pleasant of days so there was no urge to blog. But life aside, I bring to you Picture Polish Splash today. This pretty is part of the recently released Glitter Shades collection. The blue glitter covers very well although it's definitely meant to be a layering polish. In the photos below, I show one coat of it over a base colour.

Splash over a black polish. The polish is made up of medium and small hexagonal glitter pieces. See how they just glisten under the sun? ♥

Here it is indoors, under natural lighting.

I decided to layer Splash over a pastel blue base as well. While I do like it, I think I prefer the darker base colour.

Picture Polish Splash is now available for purchase on the Picture Polish website. It retails for $9.50 - check out the Network Members page for etailers within your country!

I hope to be back to blogging a bit more regularly eventually- Uni has finally finished for me! In the meantime, you can catch me on my Facebook page. Oh, and which layering do you think is better? :)

Swatches & review: Ozotic Sugar 902

Hi ladies :) Today I have another gorgeous polish to share with you all. Australian nail polish brand Ozotic recently released a Sugar collection, which consists of four layering polishes with duo/multichrome flecks. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to share 902 and seriously, be ready to wipe the drool off your face! In the photos below, I layered only one (!!) coat of 902 over Australis Blackmail. Just look at the sparkly pay off with one coat!

I tried some underwater shots to bring out the multichrome look. Please note that all the colours may not be visible in normal conditions. But honestly, how cool does it look! :D

The sparkles also come out to play in sunlight :)

After a day, I added a matte topcoat to it. OMG, the shift in colours become even more obvious! I also really like how it gives off the suede finish feel. ♥♥

Have some colour drops as well - glossy and matte. Click to enlarge and ogle :)

902, and the rest of the Ozotic Sugar collection is available for purchase from Picture Polish, each bottle retailing for $12. Check out the Network members page to see the closest e-tailer for you :)

I loooove how brilliant 902 looks matte, even more than the awesome glossy look. Which look is your favourite? Don't forget to like Polish Infatuated on facebook too!

Flowery french manicure

Hi ladies :) So I never ended up experimenting more with wedding appropriate nail looks due to time constraints. Instead, I turned to youtube for some inspiration and came across this video. Of course, I just had to try it out myself!

I started with two coats of OPI Passion and then freehanded the french tip with Ulta3 lily white and my white striper polish. I then took my acrylic paints and drew on the flowers, before topping the whole look off with a coat of OPI Pirouette my whistle.

I really liked how soft and pretty this manicure looked but after a day, my dodgy flowers were really standing out to me so I took it off lol :( At least it lasted for the wedding!

What do you think, would you wear something like this for a wedding? Have a look at Polish Infatuated on facebook too ^^
