Purple, Paris nails :)

Hello everyone! Here is another manicure I created using Bundle Monster's newest fan stamping plates. Starting with a base of OPI A grape fit, I then took OPI Pirouette my whistle and layered it over the purple base. The Eiffel Tower comes from BM-419 and the mask from BM-420.

Swatches & review: OPI Rock Goddess collection

Hello ladies~ OPI has released a Halloween collection this year, featuring four mini shades. The Rock Goddess collection is made up of three crème based nail polishes and one dense shimmer.

Rolling bones is definitely the most interesting one of the collection. I applied two coats in my photos, but I think it could have benefited a third coat on some nails.

The drummer is hot is a bright orange shade. It's not neon, but it is definitely bright. Two coats are pictured.

Stand in lime for days is a lime green shade. I actually quite like it because it doesn't have too much yellow in it for it to look terrible on my. This was two coats.

Yellopalooza is a sunny yellow shade. This was three careful coats because it tended to drag and create patches.

New York skyline

Hello ladies! I've been meaning to try out the city image on Bundle Monster's latest fan created stamping plates. I decided to go with a duochrome base and chose OPI Peace & love & OPI. I stamped BM-414 with Ulta3 black satin over two coats of Peace & love & OPI.

I'm really in love with the way the NYC skyline stands out over the base colour - in fact, it almost reminds me of Gotham City...happy coincidence? :P

Sparkling Jade

Hello :) Today's manicure is a result of a failed stamping attempt. I had initially wanted to create panda themed nails, but the stamp just wasn't working and it was late...so I went with my trusty Orly Sparkling garbage and layered it over my base of OPI Jade is the new black.

Have you had days when your planned nail art just wasn't working out? What did you end up doing instead?

Shine chevrons

Hello everyone! My nails were in a pretty bad shape a couple of weeks ago so I decided to pull out my Orly smartGELS kit and put it to good use. I applied Shine and wore it for a few days before adding a chevron pattern over it.

Swatches & review: Australis Carnivale collection

Hi ladies :) Australian brand Australis has been releasing some really pretty nail polishes recently. Today, I have the Carnivale collection to share with you ♥ This collection consists of three glitter toppers and they're definitely really stunning!

Rio riot is a gorgeous mixture of glitter. I layered one coat over China Glaze First mate.

Carnivale chaos, what a pretty rainbow glitter you are! ♥ I layered one coat over Orly Ruby.

Frisky feather is one of those bar glitter mixtures which nail polish companies have been releasing recently. I never thought I would actually use them and like them, but Frisky feather may have swayed me! As a topper, it looks so pretty and not too furry.

The Carnivale collection is now available at Priceline, Big W, Kmart and selected pharmacies across Australia. Each bottle retails for $7.95.

It really seems mainstream brands have caught onto the indie craze. What do you think of the glitters from this collection?

Swatches & review: Australis Rockstar collection

Hello hello~ Australian brand Australis recently released a couple of nail polish collections. Today, I will be showing you the Rockstar collection.

Goth rock is a very dark and vampy red shade. In fact, it's so dark by the second coat that you can't really tell it's red unless you look at the edges. Application was fine and it covered in two coats.

Kpop is a pink tinged purple. Normally I wouldn't be drawn to this type of colour because I think they look horrible against my skin tone, but apparently not! It actually looks quite nice and now I'm thinking I need to experiment with more nail polishes in this shade ;) Photos show two easy coats.

Indi is a beautiful bright turquoise which dries semi matte. I added a top coat in the photos to show the glossy side of it. Two coats.

Diva house is a semi matte bright raspberry shade which was completely opaque in two coats. Again, I added a top coat to show it with a glossy finish.

The Rockstar collection has been out for a couple of months, but it is a limited edition. If you love the nail polishes, definitely get your hands on it while you still can!

Shopping the stash: G for Glitter Gal

Hey everyone! For the letter G, I chose to showcase Australian brand Glitter Gal. 10 to midnight is a pretty dark charcoal holographic polish with a slight metallic finish as well. So much love ♥

I'm not normally a huge lover of metallic finishes but I think it adds a little more interest to the final look here. What do you think?

My first Nfu Oh nail polishes!

Hello ladies! I have some super exciting nail polishes to share today from Korean brand Nfu Oh. I have been lemming this brand for the longest time and there is now a way for Australian ladies to easily access Nfu Oh! More about that after the swatches :)

#52 is a blue based flakey nail polish. I layered it over China Glaze Queen B.

nfu oh 52

nfu oh 52

nfu oh 52

#54 has a turquoise base packed with flakey pieces. This is layered over Orly Green with envy.

nfu oh 54

nfu oh 54

#66 is a seafoam green holographic polish. I've heard how Nfu Oh holos can be quite temperamental and hard to apply - this one was no exception. The first coat applied patchy and the second coat only made things worse by dragging it. I had to go back and fill in the patches and then apply a final thick third coat to even things all out. The end result is soooooo worth it though. What a brilliant holographic effect the polish has! ♥

nfu oh 66

nfu oh 66

Okay! With the beauties shown, I'll just go on about the bottle design for a bit then ;) I love love looooooove the shape of the bottle - from the beautiful design to the added ease of holding the brush whilst applying the polish. It's unique and stands out amongst the more 'standard' nail polish bottle designs. The corset bottle shape is what truly makes Nfu Oh well...Nfu Oh!

These nail polishes can be on Maconii Collection, an Australian based online retailer which offers a growing assortment of nail polish brands. Each bottle of Nfu Oh retails for $18.95.

Do you own any of these gorgeous nail polishes?
