Hi ladies~ My baby step back into nail art after 2 weeks of nothingness involves something pretty simple - glitter tips! I applied two coats of OPI Honk if you love OPI which is a mini and I absolutely despise it cos I can't control the brush as well! :( Anyway. I wasn't all too fond of this darkened red-purple shade so I decided to add a little more to it, and glitter it was. Two coats of China Glaze 5 golden rings was applied to the tips.I was actually a little lazy with this and dabbed the glitter on with the brush instead of sponging...hehe :P
The following two photos are more colour accurate of the base polish. I found my camera didn't like the gold glitter and reacted by making the above photo whiter looking.
Another simple mani but I assure you that once I get into the swing of things again they will be a little more interesting than layering. As much as I love it, I feel like a bit more than it!

Why so blue?
Hi everyone! After two weeks of naked nails, I'm back with a mani :) My applying skills have deteriorated, lol - application was a little messier than normal. I decided to go with a blue mani since I was in the mood for a navy blue. Of course, China Glaze First mate fits this criteria only too well. I love this one coater crème <3.
I applied two coats of First mate (only out of habit - you can totally get away with one coat if you're careful!) and then layered OPI Last Friday night onto my middle finger. Two coats of Maybelline NY Colorama Electric blue were applied onto my accent nails, with one coat of L.A. Colors Starlight layered onto my thumb.
This is simple, but I love how simple and pretty it is :)
What do you think of layering with glitters? I can't seem to stop using them, hehe. They make plainer nail polish finishes like crèmes and jellies so much more interesting.

Australis Mint Condition Lip Gloss
Hello gorgeous people :) Imagine my surprise when I received a lovely package a few weeks ago from Australis! Sitting in the box amidst a blanket of Minties (mmm, yummo!) were six of Australis' new Mint Condition Lip Gloss (Geddit? Minties for Mint Condition? :D). I have a small collection of various lip glosses in my room but I honestly haven't worn many for quite some time now. Since receiving the Australis lip glosses though, I've been wearing them more often and am loving it lots! This is my first time swatching lip glosses and I tried my best. Hopefully they're not too messy ><
The lip glosses in order:
Happily Ever Laughter: a very pale pink shade which I'm sure will bring some colour to my lips :)
Meow with your mind: a peachy pink
Freely innocent: a clear lip gloss with gold shimmer in it. Perfect for a more neutral look!
Malice in Wonderpink: I love this one! It's a hot pink and totally what I need to give my lips the lovely colour it needs :)
Un-birthday Suit: it's described as a 'brown latte' by Australis. I'm not too big of a fan of this shade on my lips.
An Evening With: a bright red gloss, one which I'll be sporting for a more dramatic look hehe.
Happily Ever Laughter, Meow with your mind, Freely innocent, Malice in Wonderpink, Un-birthday Suit, An Evening With
A huge plus for these lip glosses is that they have UV protection and are moisturising. Perfect for these cold and dry winter days :) The Mint Condition Lip Glosses retail for $8.95 and can be found in Big W, Kmart, Target and Priceline. Normally I'll use a lip gloss once or twice and then it'll stay at the back of my drawer for ages. Not this time though. I'll definitely be using them veryyyy often :)
What are your thoughts on lip glosses?

Spring flowers
Hi ladies~ Sorry for the brief absence, I'm still struggling through my pile of assignments! Why is it that they never end? :( I still haven't painted my nails - it's moving onto two weeks of naked nails now, woah! And so this post features a mani from the good old vault :)
I started off with two coats of China Glaze Re-fresh mint. I then used my dotting tool for the white dots (Ulta3 lily white) and mixed Ulta3 silver pink with lily white to create the pink flowers on my accent nails. Placed some rhinestones and pearls and voilà, spring flower look complete. It's not quite spring here yet, but hey, I can look forward to it, yes? :P
I'm hoping to get back into the rhythm of posting more often once this hectic week ends.

My Alias
Hello lovelies~ Sorry for the lack of posting lately, I've been extremely swamped with uni assignments and what I'm blaming for my loss in motivation to paint my nails. I've been sporting naked nails for a week now, can you believe that? The horror! Not to worry though, I have a beauty which I didn't share earlier. Don't know why though!
I recently combined with my friend and ordered some nail polishes from Transdesign and an ebay seller. One of the polishes which I chose to splurge on was Color Club Alias. It's purple, it's duochrome and absolutely gorgeous ♥ I took a bajillion photos of this to show off and couldn't decide which ones to share so there will be quite a few photos. I applied three coats of the polish as it was a little sheer, but it's definitely, definitely worth it! :D
I love this photo. It shows off the duochrome so beautifully *swoon* <3
You just can't not buy this, can you? ♥___♥ What do you think of this beauty?

Seeing red
Hi ladies~^^ For me, I find red too bright of a shade to wear on my nails and that it draws too much attention. I felt like being brave the other day though and decided to once again step outside my comfort zone. For this manicure, I applied two coats of Orly Ruby to my nails. Ruby is an opaque creme polish and not too bright too ^^ On my accent nails I applied three coats of OPI The one that got away. I've been looking for an excuse to wear this again - the duochrome is a beauty ♥ On to my middle finger, I applied one thick coat of Nubar 2010 for some flakey goodness :)
What do you think of red nail polishes? It's such a classic shade, but for some reason I can bring myself to wear it too often :P

Spicing up the black
Hey lovelies :) I was in the mood for a dark mani a few days ago and so reached for my black nail polishes. Not wanting a pure black mani, I used some layering polishes to spice it up a bit and here is the result!
I applied one coat of Ulta3 black satin onto my nails and then layered with China Glaze White cap and OPI Servin' up sparkle. Onto my accent nails, I applied two coats of Orly Matte vinyl and decorated my fourth finger with some stars, pearls and rhinestones from the nail art etailer Born Pretty Store. I felt the star was fitting as the mani gave me a spacey feel. How's that for a shooting star attempt? :P
A couple of photos in the sun to show the bling and glory of Servin' up sparkle :) I love these holo glitters ♥
It's not much, but I like it for it's simplicity and prettiness.

Choose meeee!
Hey~ :) Firstly, thanks to the awesome people who left me suggestions after my previous post. I've since contacted the Google team and they have removed all of my posts from the other blog, yay! And moving onto nail polish :P Ahh, I can't believe I've put off wearing Essence Choose me! for so long. Despite seeing so many glorious photos of it, it stayed in my untried box for over 3 months! Shown is three coats of the lovely. Just look at the beautiful duochrome ♥
Just beware that this baby stains - I applied two coats of my base coat (China Glaze Strong Adhesion base coat) to avoid teal stained nails :)
Have you ever put off wearing a polish even though you've read so many positive reviews about it?

Posts being stolen :(
Hey everyone~ I just found out from the lovely Em that my posts are being stolen by another person. It's shocking for me that anyone would do such a thing, especially when they're straight out copying and pasting my posts (including my name at the end of each post)! As I watermark my photos, I'm not too worried about that - actually, if this weren't so serious it'd be funny since the blog name is Cool Nail Art Designs (*ahem* not Polish Infatuated). Unfortunately what the person is doing is totally UNCOOL.
If any one has any idea on how to deal with this, please let me know! I have no way to contact the person since the contact tab doesn't have a link to anything so any help will be extremely appreciated!
Thanks :)
~Sharon
ps. I wonder if this will be copied too..? ><

Australian Series: Sunshine and yellow
Hello~ Lame title, onto the pretty nails :P. I haven't ever worn yellow fully on my tips before so I thought it was time to try it out! I applied three coats of Ulta3 spring blossom onto my nails and two coats of Face of Australia Gold onto my accent nails. I then applied one thick coat of OPI Servin' up sparkle to bling up the mani :)
Both mani photos were taken under direct sunlight.
Gold leaned a bit more bronze on me, but I actually liked it this way. I have a feeling actual gold shades will look terrible on me.
I don't usually wear yellow or yellow based shades on my tips as I think they will clash with my yellow based skin tone. But this! This was really pretty :). Loved it loads and the glitters made it all the more amazing. What do you think of yellow shades?
